Everytime I read about sita a pang runs downs my heart. I feel some sort of connection towards her and her pain. How she was wronged by the once she loved with her whole heart until one day she just couldn’t bear it anymore and had to say ‘not any more’. She could have ended her life long back but she waited because she knew she just can’t leave abruptly leaving her responsibilities half way. Everytime she had that childlike excitement about being with her loved once some how she got a brutal punch of unexpected behaviour or rather say breaking of the immense trust she had in them; specially the one who meant everything to her and whom she devoured with all that she had; the love of her life, her Ram. I don’t know why I could never connect with Ram; but Sita feels like home; like a part of me or wise versa.
She loved unconditionally
He too, may be
But he had greater responsibilities
Responsibilities which made him hurt the one, he crossed the ocean for
Indeed a strange love story
Love is strange; it can make us do things we never expected from ourselves.
But more than that it’s the story of a strong women ‘SITA’. A perfect tale explaining how a women does things, for her loved ones, leaving aside her self respect, losing herself, until one day she finally stands up for herself. It’s a story of tolerance, strength, innocence, tenderness and most of all the girl who knew how to love.
